Environmental benefits of double glazing

It’s clever stuff these days, is double glazing.  With specialist gases filling the gaps between the layers of glass and, indeed, specialist glass, it confers greater benefits with improved temperature control.  We’ve lived with double glazing for many years, but I recall well the problems of older single layer windows and my mother having to mop up pools of water from windowsills where it had accumulated over cold nights, dripping down from condensation that formed on the insides of windows.  [Read more...]
